We absolutely loved working with Amy! From the moment we met we were impressed with professionalism and warmth – it felt like working with a friend. We are both a bit camera shy, and are so happy that our wedding photos felt natural and joyful. We are especially grateful for how Amy worked with our families. We decided to involve my four niblings with ages ranging from 10 months to 7 years old, and each with their own abilities and needs. Through every melt down, nap, or playful moment, Amy allowed them to be totally themselves. When my niece insisted on posing the family portraits and taking the photos with her tablet, Amy included her into the process and got some of our favorite shots of the day. Amy is kind, poised, organized, and has a wonderful eye. We heartily recommend her!

We’re so glad we chose Amy as our wedding photographer in 2023! Beyond just taking incredible photos, she brought a sense of organization to what felt like a chaotic day for me (even though everything went smoothly thanks to all of our vendors—it was just a crazy day!). She always seemed to know exactly where to be at the right moment and kept everything moving smoothly. Before the wedding, she also shot our engagement photos and made us feel much more comfortable in front of the camera. She was incredibly accommodating and perceptive, which made the whole experience feel natural and easy. On our wedding day, despite the downpour, she found the perfect opportunity when the rain stopped to whisk us outside for some gorgeous shots around our venue—something I really appreciated. She also did an amazing job wrangling family members for group shots and stayed patient throughout it all. And, to top it off, when my mom had trouble zipping up my dress, Amy was there to help—something I wasn’t expecting but was so grateful for! What stood out to me the most was how, throughout the wedding, I barely even noticed where she was—yet she was always in the perfect spot to capture the moment. The candid shots she took are some of my favorites, and a huge reason why we chose her in the first place. Looking back at the photos, I can’t help but smile every time. Amy truly cares about her craft, and it shows in every photo. She’s a true professional, and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!

Amy Sims is an incredible photographer and my husband I and could not be happier with our engagement and wedding photography. Most simply, Amy and her assistant perfectly captured our special day. Firstly, Amy was extremely communicative and transparent, setting and managing clear expectations for what we should anticipate for both our engagement photos and our wedding day. She is also incredibly prepared - through her intake forms and general questions to us and bride and groom, Amy collected a strong understanding of what we were looking for and how to prioritize our requests. In our pre-wedding interactions, we really felt as if Amy got to know us as a couple and appreciated what made us unique in order to reflect that in our photos. Day of, Amy was a true professional, providing clear advice on how to pose for group shots, especially to our friends and family who were not as comfortable in having their pictures taken, all without being overbearing or off-putting. Amy went above and beyond as a trusted companion by applying her experience and natural instincts to help us relax and enjoy each moment. Through a few stressors pre-ceremony, Amy was a calming presence and I am we were so grateful to have her support throughout the evening. We were so excited to receive our digital album in the months following our wedding as we instantly transported back to the big day. Thank you, Amy!

We loved working with Amy. Before the wedding, we found she was incredibly professional, thoughtful, and made every effort to get to know us and our vision for the wedding. What really stands out to me though is the calm and cool energy she brought to the wedding day-- she managed shifting timelines and the challenges of wrangling multiple family members with ease, and really kept things running calmly and smoothly on what could have been a chaotic and stressful day. Of course, we were also thrilled with the photographs of our wedding. They captured all of the love, emotions, and energy of the day. Thank you Amy!
