Documenting Tenderness

Inspired by everyday simplicities that could easily be overlooked, I'm in awe of the way we experience life; the way evening light falls on the road and on people's shoulders as they walk downtown hand in hand, and the soft way that the cool Russian River waters wrap around my ankles near the shore. I'm inspired by the vibrant and reaching pink vintage roses that bloom in spring on my walkway, and the way a sparkler in hand will always ignite wide eyed playfulness within.

Tenderness lives in the big, splashing, celebratory kiss moments. It lives in the quiet, pen-in-hand, reflective moments. It lives in love, and it lives in each of us. On your wedding day, I want to document, for the ages, the tender connections that you share with one another and those that you love.

8-hour coverage allows you comprehensive documentation of the magic while staying within a limited budget. During a wedding day, there are no shortages of special moments and this coverage offers a glimpse into the romance, the joy and uniqueness of your day. We’ll capture the big moments, your vows and first dance, along with some smaller moments like your final dressing touches and reception hugs. Working within a limited timeframe requires efficiency and a discerning creative vision.

    Gretchen felt like a friend from the start!! She was calm, funny, totally on it, and somehow everywhere at once without ever being in the way. Her photos are pure magic (absolute treasures!).     Where do I even start? Gretchen did our engagement photos. I can't do justice to her incredible artistry (seriously, the most beautiful images I've ever seen -- so romantic and never cheesy). When I look at them they make me laugh, smile, and think, dang, my husband and I are hot! Besides the work itself, she was a dream to work with, keeping the mood light and fun and helping us feel authentic in what could have been an awkward experience-- not even close! Somehow she knew what to say to evoke real emotion, and it never felt like we were "posing". We will treasure these images the rest of our lives. I would jump at any opportunity to work with Gretchen again.
