After hours of meetings to extract information that had been swirling around in my brain for a year, we were provided with a minute by minute timeline of the day, along with an entire decision making workbook that lead us through ceremony choices, first dance planning and a comprehensive item inventory to make sure no detail was left behind. They provided a budgeting workbook that made my little accountant heart flutter, and offered guidance based on years of practical experience working events and seeing how guests congregate and react to specific elements. Once their package kicked in I was able to pass off tasks that were stressing me out and know that they were being handled completely. Their additional day-of team member, Antonia, shadowed me (the bride) for most of the day and acted like a fairy godmother—handing me an already opened bottle of water or much needed electric fan, provided hair pins out of thin air, tackling my complicated bustle, and generally being warm, pleasant, and comforting in moments of anxiety. She melted into the background when I was on, and offered a protective enclave to sink back into when I needed a minute. The Dhalia team was flawless in their execution of the plan, and tactful in their handling of complex family relationships and herding of guests. We wanted something small and meaningful—an intimate celebration with about 60 - 70 close family and friends —and figured we could handle most of the planning ourselves. We chose a restaurant, sent out invitations, and thought we had things under control. But our thinking shifted once we started considering the logistics of the actual day—including seemingly simple things like how to arrange chairs for the ceremony. Friends and family offered to help, but we wanted them to enjoy the event as guests, not worry about the details. After speaking with Ingrid and Gloria and reviewing their very reasonable proposal, we felt good about bringing them on. Over the next two months, they kept us organized, offered thoughtful and constructive suggestions, and were a steady source of calm and encouragement. They listened earnestly to what we wanted and helped bring it to life in a way that felt both personal and polished. We also really appreciated their help communicating and coordinating with vendors, including the restaurant, our photographer, and our musician. It took a lot of pressure off our shoulders and gave us peace of mind knowing everything was in good hands. “We were told that hiring a planner for a wedding of our size was almost necessary, and thank God we did because we couldn’t have pulled off the incredible day we had without Brittany. After interviewing countless planners we seemed like we were getting nowhere, that is, until we had our first conversation with her. After hanging up the phone we knew she was the one for us. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire process, she constantly made herself available for us, her style matched ours perfectly, and I’m glad to say we gained a friend out of this. She reviewed and negotiated contracts, helped source key vendors, and went to bat for us every step of the way. It’s inevitable when planning a wedding to encounter obstacles and Brittany was ahead and on top of all of it. She shielded us from behind-the-scenes drama and went out of the way to make sure we had the best day of our lives. Everything went so smoothly. We were not an easy couple to manage, mostly because we were indecisive and weren’t able to communicate our vision, but that didn’t faze nor prevent her from pulling off a gorgeous day. Our guests raved about how beautiful the set-up was – from the tent, the décor and the million details that elevated the aesthetics, we were taken aback by how she was able to pull everything together to create such an amazing end-product.
