This impressive, seventy-five year old, urban interior space consists of bow truss 14 ft. high ceilings, vintage architecture with exposed brick, large windows, and skylights.

Valentine is our grandest location, and features a flowing 9,000 square-foot site plan designed for private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, productions and live performances. The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management, plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Originally built in the 1920’s in an area that has long served as the city’s seafood market east of Downtown, the building has lived many lives in its century of use; it’s been a hotel, a brothel, a fish and oyster company, and a commercial site for everything from glass blowing to marijuana cultivation. This mysterious history subtly informed our re-invention of the space.

Since 2012, Chef Neal Fraser & Amy Knoll have operated the property, adding their flagship restaurant Redbird, along with 6 private dining spaces in the rectory building adjacent to Vibiana. Vibiana offers an extensive selection of beverages curated by Bar Director Tobin Shea and Wine Director Jaime Aratze. Vibiana's team provides restaurant-quality service with every detail considered. Great care was taken to keep original historic details intact while modern touches including a state of the art lighting and sound system, and high quality, custom rental equipment were added. The Majestic Downtown is unlike any other wedding venue in Los Angeles. The magic is in the history of the arched windows, in the curve of the marble pillars, in the intricacy of the hand-painted ceiling. We are the venue for the couples who notice the details and want something utterly timeless and one-of-a-kind. We recognize that everyone has different visions of their big day, which is why we are one of the few venues that allows you to bring in all of your own vendors. While we have an excellent in-house caterer, their services are an option, not a requirement. Even the crystals that cascade from the chandeliers are removable, so that we may transition from rustic to glamorous in the span of a couple of hours.
