My passion is capturing genuine connections and turning fleeting moments into timeless memories. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me spending time with my three dogs! My mission is to capture beautifully real, candid moments—big or small—so you can relive them forever.

David was exactly what we were hoping for in a photographer and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to capture our perfect day. From our first phone call to getting our photos, David has been there for us and going above and beyond to help us and make sure our planning was going okay and just life in general. We were looking for a creative photographer to put their own spin on our photos and get some unique poses and shots and David checked that box over and over again. David uses modern technology to ensure he captures the best of your moments and enhances the environment around you for just an even better product. Above all, we felt like we made a friend due to David’s positive attitude, the laughs we shared, and eagerness to capture YOUR moment. He is obviously a master of his craft and I recommend him to anyone that is looking for creativity in their photos, while also still capturing classy and classic poses. David is an incredible photographer that I simply can’t recommend enough.

You know those first few months that you fall in love & everything is so wonderful & terrifying & just so damn GOOD? It's that “new love” feeling & I’ve never been able to replicate that feeling with anything else, except photography. Your wedding day tells the story of your love. From that “new love” to the more comfortable kind, it is the culmination of all those moments leading up to “I do.” I consider myself the narrator of that day, telling that story and documenting your connection through my photographs.

We highly recommend JENNY for any photo needs. She’s amazingly detailed and makes you feel like she’s your best friend. We were both nervous for our engagement shoot and she made it a breeze! 15/10 would recommend!

From the moment we met Eddie we knew we were in the best hands. As a bride, you dream of your wedding day being captured in a way that reflects all the emotion, beauty, and magic—and he absolutely exceeded every expectation. Eddie has an unbelievable eye for detail and such a calm, comforting presence that made us feel completely at ease from start to finish. Not only did he capture the big moments but also caught so many of the in-between memories: the tearful glances, the laughter with friends, and those little moments that made the day so special. Our photos are stunning—like something out of a dream. Every time we look through them, we’re transported right back to that day. We’ll cherish these images for the rest of our lives. If you’re looking for someone who is not only insanely talented but also kind, professional, and an absolute joy to have around on your wedding day, look no further. We are forever grateful to Eddie for giving us the gift of such beautiful memories.

Allyse Pulliam Photography Inc.

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Sugar Loaf, NY

Allyse Pulliam Photography Inc. is a wife and husband partnership between award-winning photojournalist Allyse Pulliam and wedding photographer extraordinaire Nick Gross. We are down-to-earth, fun, and flexible, and we love our jobs. Our goal is to capture joyful, emotional, and artistic photos of your day and for you to feel happy and comfortable while we do it. We don't care who you are, where you are from, what you did (but extra points if it was cool), as long as you love each other. We are currently located in Newburgh, NY and will happily travel to anywhere you may be

Our first experience with Allyse & Nick were at my sister's wedding. My husband and I knew at the time, they were our go-to when it came time for our wedding. Allyse and Nick made my notoriously unphotogenic husband loosen up and enjoy the process - he actually said he liked how he looked in the pictures for once! I don't think I have ever seen a picture of myself and felt beautiful, but her pictures truly do. I cant stop looking at them. I don't think I would have ever been able to capture the love that my husband & I have for each other on film without them. I can truly relive the fun and energy with all 1500 pictures I now have from that day! From our engagement photos to our big day they were amazing! They were willing to travel 3hours to come with us on this ride & even ran into a corn field to get the shot! They are going to be our family photographers, we're just waiting for the next sister to get moving!

We were so lucky to have found Kathryn for our wedding. As a photographer, Kathryn is an artist. She has incredible talent, creative ideas, and delivers stunning results. As a person, Kathryn is simply a joy. She is warm, easygoing, and fun. She made the process so easy from start to finish and we actually miss getting to chat with her! We are a same-sex, interfaith couple, and came to the table with family drama, a crazy dog, and a mashing of cultures. Kathryn didn't bat an eyelash. She has a true inclusive spirit, and that continues to mean a lot to us. If you want to be able to relive your special day with profound joy for years to come, just choose Kathryn! A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Sweet Alice Photography enough!!!! If you are getting married in the Hudson Valley area, you won’t find a more professional, personable or talented photographer than Erica! When we decided to spend our lives together, we knew we wanted a wedding that was an authentic presentation of who we were; a celebration of two families coming together that was filled with color and nature. We called upon family and close friends to help us with their talents for many elements of our wedding, but knew we needed a professional behind the lens to capture our big day. Erica at Sweet Alice Photography seemed like the perfect fit for us. Her honest and candid photos tell a story that feels real without excessive filtering. We felt so comfortable working with Erica. She was cheerful, communicative and accommodating through every step of the process. Regular email updates and words of encouragement arrived in our inboxes unprompted, and even when we had to make a last minute venue change she was so incredibly supportive. She really felt like part of the family! We loved the preview shots she sent us within days of the ceremony and couldn’t wait to share them with all our guests. We were surprised to receive all our images so quickly and in an adorable gift box with the coolest flash drive!!!

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jenna was recommended to us by another photographer and it was such a pleasure to work with her! We greatly appreciated how much she wanted to know us and our personalities in advance of our wedding day. We ended every zoom call or email exchange feeling confident in our decision to work with her. The weather on our wedding day wasn’t very cooperative, but Jenna and team were on the lookout for any break in the rain so that we could go up to the roof and get a few pictures. And she totally nailed them—they are some of our favorite pictures from the day. Jenna and team made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and also captured some incredible candids. If you’re looking for a fun, positive, and easy-to-work with photographer—Jenna is the right pick!

Authentic wedding photography for intentional couples in the Hudson Valley. Based in Garrison, NY I specialize in documenting candid moments while blending natural light with artistic off camera flash techniques, which I use to highlight both the natural setting of a wedding and special moments between you and your loved ones. From scenic venues to intimate ceremonies, I document emotion-driven wedding stories and real connections with care and empathy. My calm, grounded presence helps you feel at ease in front of the camera. I guide you through the planning and deliver timeless photos that bring you back to how your day felt for decades.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot emphasize enough how much we loved working with Matthew. I'm going to break this review down into a few areas that I think were particularly meaningful to my experience working with Matthew: Photo Style I think Matthew's portfolio speaks for itself, but I just appreciate so much how his style blends dreamy romantic shots with a photojournalistic approach. My wedding photos really feel like they captured not only the memories of the day, but the feelings we had. Pre and Post Wedding Communication From our initial booking, Matthew was extremely easy to talk to, and made it easy to understand and talk through the details of our contract and what we could expect. I think for people who are planning a wedding for the first time don't realize how much having a vendor who is patient, detail-oriented, and willing to hold your hand and guide you through the process of booking, understanding your goals, and planning for your special day matters, and Matthew could teach a masterclass in this. The pre-work Matthew did of planning, researching the venue, coordinating, and communicating effectively and efficiently was next-level professionalism, and really sets the bar for what it means to book a wedding photographer. I also think it's important to note that all of the post wedding communication has been top-notch – I think it would be understandable to call the job done after the check is paid, but quality of our communication has been consistently amazing. Day-Of Logistics / Shot Direction Matthew and his second photographer followed the plan we had set pre-wedding to a T. They were actively leading the coordinating and making sure we had all of the necessary people ready to keep to our timeline. When it was time to do different set shots (family, bridal party, ceremony, sunset), Matthew had locations in mind and was able to give guidance that made us feel comfortable and natural while getting so so many amazing shots (in very constrained timeframes). Personality I think Matthew has a very high emotional intelligence, and he was so good at genuinely making everyone feel comfortable in subtle ways. My family and my husband are all very camera shy, and notoriously hate getting their photos taken. There were so many little interactions and things that Matthew did and said that made each person feel comfortable in their own way. A few examples that come to mind: - At one point, my mom was leaning against a staircase, and Matthew took a portrait of her and told her she was a natural at posing – up until that point, she had been feeling and looking nervous, and after that she really opened up and looked so happy and comfortable. - My dad is extremely camera shy, hates being on camera and typically looks terrified and self conscious in photos. Matthew said a few things while he was taking our photos that I think really made my dad focus on how excited he was for me and my wedding, and you can just see how happy and loving he is in the photos.

It’s almost hard to write this review because we are still genuinely speechless about how incredible Caitlinn and Laurel were. They truly made our day special. Caitlinn delivered the most beautiful wedding photos we’ve ever seen. Looking at them it’s hard to believe it’s us. Caitlinn is one of those people that immediately makes you feel comfortable, and it’s truly an honor to spend such a magical day with her. She is also hilarious and so much fun. She has such a warm, silly, and engaging energy that made posing for pictures easy and truly relaxing. She genuinely cares about making such an important day so special, and works not just for you, but with you. Caitlin’s style makes the pictures feel like you are reliving them as memories. The way the colors pop and the moments are captured brings both of us straight back to our favorite day. Caitlinn brought Laurel with her to help shoot, and they were also incredible to work with. We were nervous to be in front of the camera, and they were so disarming and kind, and guided us seemingly effortlessly from their end. It was so comforting knowing we didn’t have to know how to pose or stand or where to be, and they not only directed well but the pictures are beyond what we could have hoped for. All we can really say is you should run to book Caitlinn for such an important day. And from the bottom of our hearts thank you Caitlinn for being you, we love you!

Hi, I’m Richard, a wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley. My passion is finding the beauty in the simplest moments and capturing them in a way that feels raw, real, and full of life. As a candid, photojournalist photographer, I’m all about ditching stiff poses to focus on the relationships, the laughs, and the genuine emotions that tell your distinct story. I aim to capture the little details and authentic moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Awarded Best of Zola
Richard Krutick is special. A special talent as well as a special man. He captured it! The day after our wedding he sent me a teaser gallery of what was to come. I was blown away. When planning my wedding the photographer was the most critical to me -I was picky. When I saw his work he turned my entire way of looking at my wedding around. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. I wanted honest, documentary-style moments captured without noticing the presence of the photographer. He was there when you needed him and you liked him. My guests were saying what a warm and great guy he is. He got their personalities, each and every one of them. He looks at everything with a special eye. Right at the time of my outdoor wedding with the most beautiful view and lush floral arbor, it poured and didn't stop. Gravel walkways turning into mud, no bride or groom wants to see. He just grabbed the moments and ran with them. Pivoting, he captured the most creative and editorial images I could ever dream of. He took the storm and made it beautiful. I hope I will have another event, moment, fun-filled party, or cherished time that he can again capture so we can work with him again.

I have been photographing weddings for 13 years and I love every second of it! I live in the Hudson Valley, but I travel all over the world for weddings. I started photographing weddings in college on the side and once I graduated I knew I wanted to continue to pursue weddings! If you'd like to inquire, please do so through my website!

Jordan is freaking amazing and was such an awesome person to work with on our wedding day! We booked an engagement shoot with her a year out before our wedding and as soon as we met her we knew she was the one we would hire for our wedding. First of all she is so nice and made us feel so comfortable during our engagement session, my husband and I never took professional photos before but she guided us through and even with our silliness and laughing the photos came out so incredible. Fast forward to 10.29.23 our wedding day Jordan was a rockstar, we had a jam packed day with two ceremonies and she literally was able to capture all the key photos we wanted, we got so many different vibes and I cannot be more happy with how our day went. When it started to rain we got amazing photos indoors and when we were outside she knew all the right spots to capture amazing photos. Jordan is such a great person to have around and is so easy to work with, I highly recommend her to everyone! (My best friend & MOH just booked Jordan for her 2025 wedding!)

I'm Carroll, a photographer for those who love to live a happy, fun life! I'm married to the most amazing man and together we hike, travel, eat a lot of Chinese food, and watch WAY too many Friends reruns (which explains my crazy love for coffee). I'm also a fur-mom to the two most adorable (and spoiled) little fur-babies, Levi and Chloe. The more you get to know me, you’ll realize how much I love the simple moments of life and to make the most of it all!

Carroll photographed my wedding in September 2023, and she is absolutely phenomenal! She was very responsive and easy to communicate with from day one, and her pricing was clear. If you are having your wedding at Mountain View Manor, she is extremely familiar with the venue, so she knows where to go to get the best shots. She made sure to get all of the classic poses and group shots, but she was also very amenable to my ideas and willing to go outside the box for the extra shots I asked for. Leading up to the wedding and on the day-of, she made me feel comfortable, and the proofs I have seen so far came out amazing! She managed to capture every special moment without being intrusive. I highly recommend working with Carroll if you want a fun, caring, professional, and talented photographer.

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first connected, their communication style was friendly, responsive, and clear. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure we felt at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is truly exceptional - their photos have a nostalgic, natural, and emotional quality that perfectly captured the spirit of our special day. Cappy's skill and creativity shone through, even in the challenging backgrounds of our intimate venue in Greenport. They beautifully documented every moment, from the getting ready shots to the ceremony and reception. The final images are timeless, memorable, and absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Cappy Hotchkiss Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.

Ahh you made it this far and I am so happy that you are here. Come get to know me a little bit better… I am a Hudson Valley photographer who occasionally dips their toes in NJ too. Having fun and capturing special moment with your loved ones and families is what makes my day. I am a girl mom to my favorite tiny human RyRy and a fire fighters’ wife and when you don’t see me behind a camera or working my full-time job as a graphic designer, I am usually soaking up the sun at the beach or outdoors doing something fun with my family.

We cannot recommend Katie enough! From the moment we reached out for our wedding photography, they were incredibly responsive, professional, and genuinely excited about our big day. On the wedding day, Katie was a calming presence amidst the whirlwind of planning and emotions. They blended seamlessly into our celebration, capturing candid moments that we will cherish forever. The way they interacted with our guests made everyone feel at ease, which translated into the most natural and beautiful photos. The final gallery blew us away! Each image was thoughtfully composed, with stunning attention to detail. They perfectly captured the essence of the day—from the emotional vows to the joyous dancing—and we were astonished by the quality and creativity in every shot. We also appreciated Katie’s ability to stick to our timeline while remaining flexible and adapting to the day’s flow. Their artistic vision truly shone through, and we received countless compliments on our photos. Two Upper West Siders. Twenty blocks apart. How had we not crossed paths before? Or did we? Well, after finally matching on Hinge we made that happen and the rest is history! We have combined families and now as a family of 7 (three dogs, two cats) we have become an unstoppable force. We both share the same passion for photography, capturing the beauty all around us and making magic happen. Our dog Lucy, embodies love, kindness and poise. We couldn’t imagine naming our business after anyone but her. That’s how Love, Lucy Photography came to be.

On the day of our wedding, they went above and beyond to keep us calm and relaxed, allowing us to truly be present and soak in all the special moments. The quality of their work is outstanding - they captured the day in a way that brings us right back to the magic of that day whenever we look at the photos. We were thrilled that they were able to capture all the shots we requested, delivering the final gallery to us in a very timely manner (2 weeks!!).

We are so incredibly grateful to have had LittleButFierce for our wedding day! Kristen is professional, confident and skilled. For a couple who hadn’t had professional photos before everything felt relaxed, effortless and enjoyable. We got some serious rain on our day and thought photos would be tricky but Kristen was prepared with umbrellas and positive vibes, we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We knew we wanted LittleButFierce for the extraordinary eye for nature but the results were truly above and beyond

Erin Braden The Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer

This is such a special time and I’m so excited for you! 🤗💍 If you’re still looking for a wedding photographer, I’d love to connect! I’m Erin Braden, and I specialize in capturing real, emotional, joy-filled wedding days across the Hudson Valley and beyond. I work closely with every couple to learn your story, your style, and your vision—then turn that into a wedding gallery that feels personal, powerful, and authentically you. Whether your vibe is romantic, wild, classy, or totally laid-back, I’ll make sure your photos reflect it all.

Erin's photos are like no other. She did an amazing job with our engagement photos and a fabulous job with our wedding photos! Her photos speak for themselves but she also went above and beyond for us. After the ceremony, we greeted each guest as they entered the venue. While I was hugging everyone, she took off my removable sleeves and bustled my dress, while also managing to get beautiful pictures of us hugging friends and family. She heard me say before the ceremony that I would be taking the sleeves off and bustling the dress right away and she took action. Throughout the entire wedding day she was moving, climbing on top of things and laying out the ground to get the perfect shots. And she sure did!! She also posted our sneak peak photos the very next morning. We received 7 beautifully edited pictures before we even left the hotel the next day. Later that day she sent us a link to about 5,000 pictures she took at our wedding. They are not yet edited, so we can't post all of them yet. From talking to friends and reading things in Facebook groups, I know it is not normal to be able to see all of the photos so fast. It was such a gift to look through the photos so soon, instead of waiting for months. She works hard, she works quickly, and she produces photos beyond what we imagined we would get from our wedding day.
