About Helianthus and Lace
Amanda Suda
Helianthus and Lace is a wedding and event floral design business serving the deeply in love. Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun. I find this to be a great analogy for life - always look on the bright side. Flowers have been a part of my life since 2014, and I have been flowering weddings since 2018. I'm so glad you are here!
In my personal life and business, I am always working towards being more sustainable and Earth-friendly. I will work closely with local farms during the growing season to source local blooms and reduce the amount of emissions it takes to get your flowers into your hands.

Best florist out there!
Working with Helianthus and Lace was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I love flowers, and I knew I wanted them to be a big part of our day, but it was also very important to me that I could source florals as sustainably as possible. As soon as I met Amanda, I could see her passion for creating beautiful designs with local blooms, and bringing visions to life. I could tell off the bat that she cares deeply about the couples she works with, and her thorough questions made me confident that she would execute my vision perfectly. Amanda had clear communication throughout our time working together and was quick to answer emails whenever I had a question. One thing I also loved was her invoicing system- she sent over one link to the invoice which would automatically update whenever we made changes. It’s a small detail, but it was incredibly helpful to know that I was always looking at the most updated version of our invoice (not digging through my emails and searching through multiple attachments) to keep track of costs. On the day, I nearly cried when I saw my bouquet it was so beautiful. Due to the weather, there was some back and forth figuring out where our ceremony would be held. Amanda worked with our coordinator and venue staff and came up with great solutions to repurpose the flowers for the outdoor ceremony site. I really appreciated her flexibility and ability to think on her feet to make the indoor space feel just as magical. Her work really elevated the room and gave the exact vibe that I was hoping for. So many of our guests raved and said they’d never seen flowers like ours at a wedding. I cannot recommend enough working with Amanda for your wedding. She really puts her heart and soul into her work, and feels like a friend through the planning process. If I had to do it again I’d choose her every time!!
Beautiful work and such a joy!
Amanda was literally incredible to work with! I am a person who knows nothing about flowers and was very flippant on my vision for the day. She had several meetings along the way to catch up with me, give advice on decor, and decipher what I was looking for. She had a meticulous proposal that outlined every detail and showed example photos which she updated with every meeting we had so I could feel confident she had all details accounted for. When it came to execution, it was flawless! My "petite" bouquet was so pretty, the flowers around the pergola were beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for! And all the other small floral details throughout the reception space were just enough to add the right touch. My only regret is that I didn't get more of a chance to talk with her and see her in action on the day of the wedding! (Obviously I was just a little busy LOL)

Amanda truly went above and beyond for our wedding in March. Everyone at the wedding complimented how beautiful the flowers looked and she truly brought my whole vision to life. She was always available for a phone call and I could just tell that she gave her absolute all on the day-of. She even placed the tablecloths herself to make it look more fitting with the bud vases which I was so grateful for. The flowers were in amazing condition and I loved how they were ethically sourced. She took all my preferences and ideas and turned it into something so so beautiful. Thank you so much Amanda! We would highly recommend Helianthus and Lace to anyone!!

Amanda is AMAZING!! We just got married over the weekend and Amanda was wonderful to work with!!! She responds SO quickly, is one of the sweetest people I think I’ve ever met, is punctual, and is really helpful when it comes to bouncing ideas with, etc. She blew our minds away with all of the beautiful floral arrangements she made for our wedding - they seriously exceeded all expectations/visions I had in mind. 10/10 recommend Helianthus and Lace to be your wedding florist- best decision ever!
